In July of last year, Intérieur London (formerly CID Interieur) was appointed to undertake the complete refurbishment of a 450 square metre Parisian Apartment, to be executed for a highly esteemed private client, in a project worth a total of £2.5 million.

CID Interieur were commissioned to complete the multi-million pound refurbishment of an apartment situated right in the very centre of Paris, requiring a complete structural overhaul; presenting a rare opportunity to completely redesign a building that was to prove both architecturally beautiful, and challenging. While the apartment required modernisation, and was to be refurbished to a very high specification, the original features that gave the property its unique and striking appearance were to be retained where possible, incorporating contemporary design with traditional Parisian chic.

Commissioned by a very well respected client of interior contractor Depa, the project included the complete renovation of all existing structural and aesthetic features; as well as the enhancement of the original, Parisian classical style that was prevalent throughout the apartment, located right in the heart of the bustling city of Paris. The refit required that the apartment’s original features be sympathetically restored, which included the flooring as well as intricate mouldings, and the existing joinery, the windows and the fireplaces.

In addition to making structural and aesthetic changes to the central Paris apartment, which comprises 450 square metres, a mechanical as well as an electrical refit was also required. The furniture and finishing’s incorporated into the design included a range of beautiful natural materials such as stone and timber, as well as new carpet fittings, and joinery, to complement the design.

The project also required the installation of a state of the art Lutron lighting control system, and incorporated a comprehensive portfolio of niche works, which served to culminate in a truly unique design, combining both contemporary styles with a classic Parisian aesthetic; to stunning effect.
